Backpack Program

The Backpack Program would not be possible without the help of the guidance counselors at the schools that we serve. The program is coordinated with the school counselor to find the children that are in need the most. The program discretely distributes food on Friday to these children to help them thru the weekend. All of the food we shop for is child friendly and can be prepared by the child if needed.

We helped 30 children this last school year at North Cove School, in North Carolina. The feedback from the children and families was very positive. The families liked our child friendly food because it also helped the children become more independent.

Our goal for this coming school year is to help 100 children in several local schools. With your help this can be done. If you are not able to make a monetary donation to help with this program, we accept food donations at our office. Please make sure that the food is a child friendly item.






Parent Packs

The parent pack program ( say that five times real fast )is a program we have just started. We provide these packs to Duke Hospital in Durham and also The Rathbun Center in Asheville. Our packs include shampoo, conditioner,soap, toothbrush, toothpaste,floss,lotion,razor and a comb or brush. These packs are going to be distributed at The Rathbun Center to any guest that might need these products and at Duke Hospital to any parent that might need them , that has a child in the PICU or the Cardiac PICU.

All of the products in these packs are donated items.
